The Team
In 2005 the Team going to Tigray is composed of the following four people:

Helen Pitt: Team Leader,
Kerry Thomas: Co-ordination and Capacity Building,
Ursula Dahl: Social Work and Social Development and
Barry Lincoln: Environment.

The Team is well supported by a range of people in Australia and elsewhere in all aspects of the Initiative.

Team and Support Members:
(left to right) Helen Pitt, Tania Radis (Adelaide), Barry Lincoln and
Jill Jameson (co-ordinating Victorian support) and ‘Puppies’

The Team will be leaving Australia towards the end of September and early October to arrive in Tigray mid October when the main work will be done. It is hoped that during these three weeks there will be an opportunity to get out of Mekele into some of the more remote areas to get a better sense of the issues facing the people further away from the main towns. The Team expects to be back in Australia by the end of November 2005.

While the Team is away Tania Radis, based in Adelaide, will be the key contact person. Any enquiries can be forwarded to her. Regular update will continue to be sent during this period

Current access to the internet in Tigray is limited and unreliable so direct communication with Team members may be slow.
