interPART and Associates (iP&A)
Pty Ltd is a small, innovative Australian-based
company providing consultancy, research, capacity
building and project design, implementation, monitoring
and evaluation services for clients that include
NGOs, government agencies and international organisations.
iP&A also initiates research and development
activities with a view to piloting and demonstrating
alternative approaches to the challenges that face
communities and in helping to build resilience.
Managed by a director, iP&A is the ‘commercial’ wing
of interPART. It brings together individuals and
teams of Associates in accordance with the specific
needs of each assignment.
A feature of interPART lies in the diversity of
its Associates. Coming from across all sections
of society, in Australia and internationally, these
people bring a richness of experience and linkages
that is both unique and exciting. The different
forms of connections and cross-sector collaboration
that arise from this diversity enable us to nurture
the kind of holistic, system-wide approaches that
we believe are crucial to a just and sustainable
future.

structures and networks
to evolve and maintain
new forms of collaborative
partnerships.
Utilizing
Experience and Expertise Developing
opportunities and creative
mechanisms to harness
experience and expertise
across the range of fields
necessary for holistic
action and sustainable
development. Approaches
that allow for the merging
of community knowledge
and traditional wisdoms
with ‘professional’ expertise
are considered as offering
particularly valuable
potential.
Capacity
Development
Creating and consolidating
opportunities for shared
learning, through a range
of training and development
methods that enhance
the potential and capacity
of individuals, communities
and organisations to
be better equipped to
cope with a rapidly changing
and complex world.
Action
Research Developing initiatives
whereby partners, in Australia
and overseas, collaborate
in undertaking activities
designed to link research,
theory and practice, in
ways that enable informed
planning, decision-making
and action.
Publication
The documentation and publication
of learning, experiences,
expertise and information
is vital to promoting
change and sustainable
development while influencing
policy, planning and
programs. Different forms
of publications are being
devised to meet specific
needs and circumstances.
